My name is Melia Fonoimoana Garrett, and I am a licensed school psychologist with experience in both school and private practice settings. Before becoming a psychologist, I spent five years as an elementary school teacher, where I gained valuable insight into the classroom and the unique challenges students face. Now, in my role as a school psychologist, I work to identify and address barriers that may be hindering students' academic success. This includes conducting psychoeducational evaluations to help determine whether a student needs specialized instruction, as well as collaborating with teachers on research-based interventions that can make a difference.

In the private setting, I am dedicated to helping individuals and families gain valuable information about disabilities and effective strategies that support growth and resilience. As a parent myself, I feel passionate about ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to succeed and feel seen. I believe that with the right knowledge and support, individuals can better understand themselves and confidently seek out the resources they need to thrive.
